Domestic violence is a serious crime and has significant consequences for its victims and the Milwaukee community.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a men's march to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence. This event is a collaboration between the Task Force on Family Violence, Jewish Family Services and Sojourner Truth House.

The 2008 event was an enormous success! More than 600 walkers stepped out to raise $50,000 to fund the efforts of the three participating agencies. Plan to join us again for the 2009 walk taking place on May 3, 2009!

________________________________________________________________________Mission: Peace

MISSION: Peace
June 25, 2008 through
August 31, 2008

Peace is a mission that IS POSSIBLE! That’s why the Task Force on Family Violence is recruiting Agents of Peace to participate in this important new “virtual” fundraiser.

The Mission: Peace campaign will take place completely online. Each agent who chooses to accept the mission will be asked to raise $1,000 through their own personal Mission: Peace web page, where they will share why they believe in peace and why they believe in the Task Force on Family Violence.

By the mission deadline of August 31, we expect to be one step closer to making peace a Mission: Accomplished!
